Marketing for
salons that fills
your chairs.

Your work is beautiful. Your space is gorgeous. Your reviews are five stars. But the column is half-empty on Tuesday and rebookings are slipping. We build booking-driven marketing that gets new clients in the door — and keeps your existing ones coming back.

Empty chairs.
Slipping rebookings.

You can pull off a six-hour balayage that looks unreal. But that doesn’t mean Tuesday is booked, your DMs are converting, or that your new lash artist’s column is filling. Marketing is a different skill — and most agencies don’t get the salon business at all.

⚠ THE SALON OWNER’S COMMON STORY

“Our Instagram looks beautiful. We have 15K followers. We post every day. But the bookings just aren’t coming in — and we don’t really know why.”

  • Followers ≠ bookings. A pretty grid doesn’t fill chairs. We engineer Instagram + TikTok content to convert viewers into actual booked appointments — not just likes.
  • No-shows eating revenue. Industry-average no-show rate is 10–20%. With proper booking flows, deposit policies, and reminder sequences, we get clients down to 3–5%.
  • Rebooking rate too low. Most salons retain less than 40% of new clients. The fix isn’t another loyalty program — it’s the email + SMS sequences in the 48 hours after their visit.
  • Walk-ins from Maps, not website. When someone Googles “lash extensions near me,” they’re calling whoever shows up first in the map pack. If that’s not you, you’re invisible.
  • Groupon wreckage. Discounted-promo platforms train clients to chase the lowest price — not your brand. Once you’re on Groupon, getting clients to pay full price again is brutal.

Three plays.
Built for bookings.

Beauty marketing isn’t paid ads alone. It’s a system: Instagram + TikTok content that converts, local visibility that captures walk-in intent, and retention sequences that keep your clients rebooking. We run all three.

/ 01 · The chair filler

Instagram & Meta ads

This is where new clients discover you. Before/after reels, transformation videos, and Instagram-native ad creative drive cold traffic to your booking page — at a fraction of what you’re paying for Groupon promos.

  • Reel + carousel ad creative
  • Lookalike audiences from past clients
  • Service-specific landing pages
  • First-visit offer optimization
  • TikTok ads where audience is right
/ 02 · The walk-in capture

Local SEO & Google Maps

When someone Googles “[your service] near me,” they’re calling the top 3 results. Period. We get you into the map pack and keep you there — for every service you offer in your service area.

  • Google Business Profile optimization
  • Review generation system
  • Service-area landing pages
  • Photo strategy for GBP & Maps
  • Citation building (Yelp, Vagaro, etc.)
/ 03 · The rebooking machine

Retention & SMS

Your most profitable client is your existing one. We build the SMS + email automations that turn first visits into 3rd, 5th, and 10th visits — and recover lapsed clients before they go to a competitor.

  • Post-visit thank-you + rebook flow
  • Service-interval reminder SMS
  • Lapsed-client win-back sequences
  • Birthday + milestone offers
  • Referral program automation

We’ve worked with your kind of salon.

Different beauty businesses have different buyers, different sales cycles, and different content that converts. Here’s where we have deep playbooks — but if your specialty isn’t listed, we’ll learn it fast.

Hair salons

Color specialists, balayage artists, multi-stylist studios. Visual transformation is your product — we make it discoverable.

Lash & brow

High-frequency rebooking, strong before/after content. We optimize for retention SMS and Instagram aesthetic.

Nail studios

Trend-driven and Instagram-native. Reels of nail art convert massively when paired with location-specific targeting.

Med spas

Higher ticket sizes, longer consideration. We build trust-led funnels with consultations as the primary CTA.

Aesthetic clinics

Botox, filler, laser. Compliance-aware ad copy and consultation-driven funnels with clinical trust signals.

Barbers

High-frequency men’s grooming. We optimize for walk-in capture and Instagram-driven first visits.

Skin & facials

Esthetician-led treatment menus. We build content around results, ingredients, and treatment-plan upsells.

Other beauty

Tattoo studios, permanent makeup, IV bars, wellness clinics. If clients book on calendar, we can market it.

Don’t see your specialty? We’ve probably worked with it. Send us a note — we’ll tell you straight up if it’s a fit.

We integrate with the
booking software you already use.

We don’t ask you to change platforms. We connect your ads, your forms, and your retention sequences to whatever booking system runs your business.

Things salon owners actually ask us.

The questions we hear most from boutique salons, multi-stylist studios, and med spas. If yours isn’t here, send it through — we’d rather have an honest 15-minute call than waste your time.

No — but it depends on your audience. For salons targeting Gen Z (lashes, nails, barbers), TikTok is non-negotiable. For higher-ticket services (color specialists, med spas, aesthetic clinics), Instagram still does most of the work and TikTok is optional.

We’ll audit your audience and tell you honestly. We’d rather you do one channel really well than spread thin across five.

Yes — but it takes a deliberate plan. The Groupon damage is that it teaches your client base to chase discounts. The recovery is two-pronged: (1) drop Groupon entirely and stop new discount-driven traffic, (2) build a brand-led funnel that attracts full-price clients via Instagram and Google, not deal-hunters.

Most salons we’ve worked with see a temporary dip in volume during the transition (because the discount-chasers stop coming) and then a lift in profitable volume within 3–4 months as full-price clients replace them.

This is one of the highest-leverage fixes for a salon. The combination that works: (1) a deposit policy on first-time clients (typically $25–$50, applied to the service), (2) automated SMS reminders 48 hours and 4 hours before the appointment, (3) a one-click reschedule link instead of forcing them to call.

Most of our salon clients drop their no-show rate from 12–18% to 3–5% within the first 60 days. That alone often pays for the engagement.

Absolutely — independent stylists, lash artists, and barbers are some of our best clients. The math works because every booking matters more, and your overhead is lower so the marketing spend has more to work with.

What we’ll discuss in the audit: how much volume you can realistically take on (most independents max out around 20–30 bookings/week), and how to pace ad spend so you don’t get drowned with leads you can’t fulfill.

We do both. For most salon engagements, we work from the photo and video content you’re already capturing in the studio (most stylists film transformations anyway) and turn it into ad-ready creative — captions, edits, hooks, music.

If you’re not capturing content yet, we’ll set up a simple shooting cadence (typically 30 minutes a week) and give you the prompts. We don’t need a Hollywood production — we need real work in good lighting.

Paid ads typically start producing booked appointments within 2–3 weeks of launch. Local SEO and Google Maps take 3–6 months to fully compound, but you’ll usually see early movement (more profile views, more calls from Maps) within month 2.

Realistic expectation: month 1 is setup, content, and tracking. Months 2–4 is when bookings come from paid ads and retention SMS. Months 4–6 is when SEO starts contributing meaningful walk-in volume.
